Participates in and supports (at varying levels of responsibility) the design, implementation, and operation of ERCOT's meter data acquisition functions.
Assists in the development of business processes and procedures.
Maintains and analyzes the meter data acquisition system in support of ERCOT market settlement operations.
Essential Job Duties and Tasks Levels 1 and 2 Maintains the meter data acquisition system daily in support of the settlement process.
Analyzes, researches, and implements data changes and corrections prior to the settlements process.
Participates in the operations and enhancements of the meter data acquisition system to ensure that accurate and timely data is provided to Settlements, ERCOT Clients, and other interested ERCOT parties.
Contributes to the development of workflow and business processes to meet the goals of the Commercial Operations business units of ERCOT.
Identifies risks and suggests ways to mitigate risks Assists in the development and implementation of ERCOT meter data acquisition protocols and business procedures consistent with SB7 and ERCOT business rules.
Responds to day-to-day Market Participant questions and operating issues related to the meter data acquisition process.
Develops and maintains working knowledge of ERCOT procedures and business rules related to EPS Metering, Data Acquisition, Data Aggregation.
Develops and maintains working knowledge of ERCOT operations needed to support Clients' business needs.
Monitors data flow between MV90 and the settlement system and takes corrective action when necessary.
Identifies data integrity issues within the MV90 system and takes corrective action when necessary.
Provides assistance in projects, as necessary, to implement ERCOT's Commercial Operation Systems including future enhancements.
Regularly communicates issues in a timely manner to the appropriate supervisor.
Senior Level (above +) Fosters the expansion and advancement of the meter data acquisition system in support of the settlement process Configures, tests, and implements modifications and upgrades of the meter data acquisition system Uses advanced knowledge and expertise to recommend enhancements and modifications to the meter data acquisition processes and procedures Designs, implements, and guides the operation of ERCOT's meter data acquisition functions Evaluates and expands meter data acquisition system in support of ERCOT market settlement operations Provides on-the-job training or oversees the work of other analysts.
Mentors subordinates and assists in their development Leads development and implementation of ERCOT meter data acquisition protocols and business procedures consistent with SB7 and ERCOT business rules Anticipates Market Participant questions related to the meter data acquisition process and takes ownership to resolve the most complex and sensitive operating issues Utilizes and shares strong expertise of ERCOT procedures and business rules related to EPS Metering, Data Acquisition, Data Aggregation Exercises independent judgment to resolve or mitigate data integrity issues within the MV90 system and takes corrective action when necessary Leads projects, as necessary, to implement ERCOT's Commercial Operation Systems including future enhancements Investigates and mediates meter data disputes raised by market participants Takes proactive measures to ensure market participant remain in compliance with ERCOT protocols and guides as they relate to data acquisition and EPS Metering facility access and repair timelines Evaluates and forecasts potential risks and implements methods to mitigate them QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge equivalent to a major in of such fields.
WORK EXPERIENCE No minimum related work experience in excess of degree requirements for level 1.
Upper-level positions require previous experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience with MS Excel & other MS Office suite products Experience with MV-90 Strong attention to detail Previous experience analyzing large data sets Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with external entities Ability to work in a remote working environment.
WORK LOCATION:
This position is Remote First.
The majority of job duties can be performed remotely from your Texas residence.
May be required to be on-site at the Taylor or Austin facilities at least once a month, or more based on the business needs and as determined by the Manager Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.
Work arrangements are subject to business needs and are subject to change accordingly Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time Salary and level will be based on overall experience as determined by ERCOT.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
