Qualifications: LocationAustin, TXDallas, TXRemote - US Position Summary The AIX Server Manager's role is a hand's on manager responsible for the day to day AIX, UNIX server operations, long term planning and project execution. The AIX Server Manager will lead a team of Engineers providing mentoring, performance evaluations, prioritizing tasks and leading incidents through successful closure. The manager will configure and administer various IT systems, with a focus on maintaining security through confidentiality, integrity and availability. This individual should have demonstrable experience in AIX, Linux, Unix, Cache, and varying protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SSH, L2TP/IPsec with knowledge of TCP/IP and various web applications and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on leadership role with HR and Team Building responsibilities. Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:Manage the operating systems of the Sonic Healthcare USA non-Windows servers.Review new system designs and major modifications for operability prior to implementationPerform reviews of security architecture, information security administration and policyCollaborate with Sonic staff in the evaluation of new software and hardware systems, particularly as they relate to ApolloCollaborate with other Infrastructure teams to identify server, network and system vulnerabilities and the appropriate solutions to eliminate or minimize their potential effectsCollaborate with administrative and compliance staff in the development and maintenance of the Sonic Healthcare information policiesCollaborate with administrative staff in ensuring that departments have fulfilled their information security responsibilities Manage Non-Windows server access and controlsReview and revise naming standards, access controls and securityManage the annual audit of end user accounts and create remediation plansManage non-Windows appliances in the DMZ in conjunction with the Data Center Manager.Manage Cache databases in conjunction with peer teams Monitoring and incident responsesMonitor server logs for violations and issuesInvestigate any actual or potential problems or incidents Provide periodic reporting on issues Training and Professional DevelopmentMaintain up-to-date knowledge of available and emerging network, security and computer technologies through professional reading, attending industry conferences, and professional development (training, education, and participation in professional associations) Review advisories posted through agencies such as CERT, Center for Internet Security, and SANS and recommends appropriate security improvements Provide training for staff and management OtherAdhere to change management procedures and implement changes during defined and negotiated change windows Help maintain proper documentation of the organization's computing environmentHelp design and manage the business recovery and disaster recovery plans for the enterpriseEnsure that relevant policies, laws, and regulations are followed or enforcedPerform other duties as assigned Skills: AIX, UNIX and/or LINUX server engineering level experience requiredSecurity appliance administrationTCP/IP knowledgeInternet protocol knowledgeMS-SQL or Cache experienceVarying scripting techniquesWeb security knowledge and experienceExcellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to prioritize tasks as they arrive, and make decisionsAbility to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication within varying levels of the business Other Functions:Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, business or related field, or equivalent education and related trainingMinimum of 2 years experience as a Server Manager or Team LeaderMinimum of 5 years experience as an AIX, LINUX or UNIX Engineer PreferredMinimum 3 years experience in a Lab or other Health Care environmentExperience in ITIL or similar methodology TravelAbility to travel up to 20%. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
